Legal Data Access, Multi-party Proof of Concept
Obtaining access to data in the legal sector is difficult, particularly where that access requires ‘sharing’. As experienced through data matchmaking in the Lawtech Sandbox and the wider programme at LawtechUK, legal and regulatory concerns are a key barrier for greater data access. This proof of concept report sets out, for the first time publicly in the legal sector, how privacy enhancing technologies can support multiple organisations to extract insights from their collective data without relinquishing control over that data or revealing confidential or personal information to any third party (including other participants of the project). This proof of concept was undertaken using Regulaition’s AIR Platform, with Norton Rose Fulbright, Ashurst, Vodafone and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
